We are a Harry Potter’s generation! Though I am not a huge fan of the movies, when one comes out it is an event. This one especially seems to benefit from an intensive campaign. The posters are more mature and darker. I think that globally each time the series progresses. I hope this episode will follow the trend! Here is packed all you need to know about the movie:

This animation movie sent me away for 100 minutes. I was blown in a divided Sci-Fi world, where people fight for equality, fly on awesome aircrafts and try to cope with their sentimental issues. It is beautifuuuuuul! Here is the map, unfortunately the movie is only in French version.

Usually I like animation movies, but this one is really bad… It needs a genuine script, some viable music, a better pace and less gooey talkings. Yet, there is some beautiful poetry in the universe built around the characters. Those floating cities create a dreamlike environment and a wonderful atmosphere.
Lately I watched a few Asterix’s films (it’s kind of difficult to get the comics in Cardiff…) and I really enjoyed it. As I mostly watch Japanese animes I did not expect to find Franco-Belgium cartoons so clever and untertaining (especilly the songs :). Besides, I was astonished to see how much Asterix embodies some typical French behaviour and culture. Though it is in French I realy advise you to watch some!

Waow! Who is Jonathan Levine?? To direct such a movie, he must be seriously not serious! Smoke, unreal sunrays and heavy hip-hop constantly fill the atmosphere inside Wackness. I loved it!
I think this the kind of movie that you cannot utterly understand the first time (like Memento, Michael Clayton or Matrix). Yet, when the end comes you are in a mess. Thinking about it, analysing scenes or just drown by a strange feeling. Usually it takes a few minutes to get back to the old reality. I do not know much about taste in cinema. I find it really hard to judge a movie and to justify its goodness or crapness. Anyway, when I fell like that I want to say: Thanks Mr Levine (and the whole team).
